With Michel Gasco on the Oud and Afghan Rubab, and Parisa Delshad on the Persian Tombak and Daireh, Bab Sharqi Duo explore a series musical traditions and compositions from the Khorasan region, situated on the Afghan-Iranian border. They also perform tracks from Michel Gasco’s musical project “Orontes”, which is programmed to tour soon with the network of American Language Centers in Morocco. Orontes explores different atmospheres and traditions in what some would like to call “New Mediterranean Music”.
