Zaid A. Zaid is on the Public Policy Strategic Response team at Facebook. He has over 15 years of experience in tech, policy, law, diplomacy, foreign affairs, national security, and international development.
He was recently named a “Black American National Security & Foreign Policy Next Generation Leader” by New America and the Diversity in National Security Network.
Zaid served in the Obama White House as Special Assistant to the President and Associate White House Counsel.Mr Zaid A Zaid will join us from Washington DC in a discussion with Tangier American Legation Institute of Moroccan Studies director about Zaid’s thoughts on the Black Lives Matter movement — how BLM originated, BLM’s reactions to police and other killings of Black Americans in 2020, and BLM’s impact on other global civil rights movements.
