Shaka Zulu has been Masking for 19 years but has been a part of the African/Haitian Music Culture in New Orleans through his father Zohar Israel since he was a small child.
Chief Shaka began stilt dancing from a very young age and was a part of the Skull and Bones Krewe. Chief Shaka and his Krewe notably performed at the Gnaoua Festival in 2009, and will be happy to share their stories during a live Q&A session at the end of the show.
